ADI Construction converted regular office space into Inova’s new state-of-the-art medical imaging center. Construction included all new mechanical systems and electrical service. Work required extensive structural modifications to support the weight of the new equipment, including a 17,000 lb magnet. With a relatively low bar joist height, this required careful coordination of above ceiling work. Careful selections of finishes were used to create a calming atmosphere for the patients. This included Earth tones on walls and flooring, a water feature in the hallway, and lighted landscape murals in the CT and MRI ceilings.
